TeamThe Hermosa Beach Police Department Honor Guard is comprised of Officers who have committed themselves to the time and training required for these specialized duties. They are highly respected for their attention to detail and precision in representing the Department. The group has grown from an informal band of officers to a well-equipped and trained Honor Guard Detail that is frequently called upon to represent the Hermosa Beach Police Department.

The Honor Guard regularly participates in many community events such as the City's St. Patrick's Day Parade, Green Hills Memorial Day Event, and The South Bay Police and Fire Memorial. Members of the Honor Guard also participate in the Law Enforcement Memorial at the State Capitol each May.

The most important function that the Honor Guard performs is the attendance and paying respect to the families and communities of officers who lose their lives in the line-of-duty, and paying tribute to the deaths of retired Hermosa Beach Police Officers and their families.
