The Finance Cashier office manages the City Hall public counter for incoming revenue. The division is responsible for:

  • Animal licenses & permits - dog & cat (voluntary) licenses; more than two household pets & non-household pet permits
  • Bus passes & taxi vouchers - discounted rates offered for certain senior, disabled and student passes
  • Business licenses
  • Garage sale permits 
  • Parking citation payments & records
  • Parking meter "cash keys" - sale & reloading for eligible use in certain meters - 25% Hermosa Beach resident discount available
  • Parking permits - residential (annual - includes guest, out-of-state vehicle and 100% alternative fuel vehicle permits), contractor (30 days), daily, Downtown City lot/structure (monthly - good for City Lots A, B & C), driveway, employee, oversized vehicle annual registrations (24-hour permits issued by Police Department at no charge to valid registration holders, subject to certain limits), replacement, temporary one-day event and temporary rental vehicle permits
