Utility User's Tax Exemption

The City offers an exemption to paying the utility user's tax (UUT) to qualifying residents on utility bills for their personal residence.  The current tax rate is 5.5% for telecommunications (land-line phone, wireless phone, and cable/FIOS) and 6% on electricity, gas, and water services.

The UUT exemption is permanent, unless there is a change in service providers or account options once the original application has been approved and the exemption applied to the accounts.
