The Building Board of Appeals meets on the second Monday of each month in Council Chambers at City Hall (1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA  90254) at 7 p.m., or as scheduled by the Board.

About the Board

The Building Board of Appeals determines the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction, and provides for reasonable interpretations of the Building Code. Members must be qualified by training and experience to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction. Five members are appointed and serve at the pleasure of the City Council.  There are no specified term limits and members are not required to be qualified electors of the City.
