Project Information

CIP 699, Parking Lot C Structure Improvements includes, but is not limited to, structural repairs and rehabilitation of the City of Hermosa Beach Parking Structure.

Project Status and Schedule

Dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. More detailed information on specific impacts will be shared in advance of each phase.

  • Preconstruction

September 29 – October 6

  • Phase 1 - Level Three Work

Project Update: October – Delay Pending Additional Structural Investigation

Additional structural investigation is needed, resulting in a project delay. The duration of this delay is not yet known.

To facilitate the ongoing investigation and construction, and to ensure public safety, the third floor, west stairs, and half of the second floor will remain temporarily closed while work continues on the upper deck. During the day, some parking stalls on the second and ground floors will also be temporarily closed as work progresses on the third floor.

Parking Lot C employee permit holders may continue to park in any available public parking space within the structure and at yellow parking meters including the ones on Hermosa Ave.

Phase 2 - Level Two Work

Delay Pending Additional Structural Investigation

Level two of the structure will be closed for public parking, with access to the roof deck remaining open.

  • Phase 3 - Ground Floor Work

Delay Pending Additional Structural Investigation

Partial closure of south entrances. Only limited parking spaces on the ground floor will be impacted.
