How to Pay a Parking Citation / Ticket
Parking citation can be paid through the following methods:
- Online: www.pticket.com/hermosabeach
- Automated phone system: 1-800-565-0148
*There is a $3.95 processing fee per citation for the above options. Foreign credit cards are not accepted online or via automated phone system, but may be used below for payments processed at the Revenue Services Division at City Hall.
- In Person: at City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive Room 101, Hermosa Beach, CA. We accept cash, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, money orders, and checks. 2.75% processing fee will apply to all credit card transactions.
- In Dropbox: Located at the front of City Hall (indicate the citation number on your payment or envelope). Please do not place cash in the dropbox.
Low Income Installment Payment Plan
- Qualifying low-income individuals may apply for an installment payment plan.
- To apply, fill out an Low Income Payment Plan Application and mail with appropriate back up documentation to the address noted on the form.

Towed/Impounded Vehicle Release Procedures
To gain release of a towed or impounded vehicle, contact the Police Records Office at (310) 318-0360 (monitored 24/7). The Police Department will advise if a vehicle may be picked up directly from the tow yard or if any applicable fees, past parking citation payments and/or a vehicle Release Form must be obtained.
To obtain a Release Form:
- During regular business hours (Mon-Thu 7AM to 6PM):
- Visit the Revenue Services Division at 1315 Valley Drive, Room 101
- Pay outstanding balance
- Obtain receipt for payment
- Take receipt of payment to the Police Records Office at 540 Pier Avenue
- Obtain Release Form (registered owner only)
- After hours/weekends (Mon-Thu before 7 AM or after 6 PM and Fri-Sun):
- Visit the Police Records Office at 540 Pier Avenue
- Pay outstanding balance (cash/exact change only)
- Obtain Release Form (registered owner only)
Location for Towed Vehicles – please check with the Police Records Office (310) 318-0360 prior to visiting to ensure all requirements for release have been met. Applicable towing, storage and other fees may be charged by the towing company prior to vehicle release.

Impounded Bicycles & Scooters
The Hermosa Beach Police Department will provide release once applicable fees have been paid at the Finance Cashier's Office at 1315 Valley Drive, Room 101 during normal business hours (Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or at the Police Records Office at 540 Pier Avenue (open 24/7--cash/exact change only).
