Hermosa Beach Municipal Code 8.8.010 - requires every person maintaining an alarm system (burglar/security) to obtain a permit from the police department. There is an annual permit fee when the application is submitted and the alarm permit must be renewed annually. Please be sure to fill out the application completely, including the names of individuals that can respond in an emergency.
To apply, print out and complete the application form (also available at the Police Station) and mail or deliver to:

Fees for Alarm Permits can be mailed in with the completed application, or paid at the Finance Cashier office in Room 101 at City Hall (1315 Valley Drive), Monday - Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
