• Conducts building plan checks, building inspections and enforces building codes.
• Building inspections are conducted 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday - schedule in advance online
• Permits - building, demolition, electrical/mechanical/plumbing, fence, occupancy/load review, sign (permanent on private property) and other permits. 
• Project or plan status information may be obtained by telephone (310) 318-0235 from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. or by visiting the public counter to meet with building or planning staff from 9:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
• Building Inspectors are available for questions by telephone at (310) 318-0235 or at the public counter from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
