Hermosa Beach Municipal Code 12.30.070 - Requests for permits for use of public rights-of-way for block parties may be made by Hermosa Beach residents to the Chief of Police. All permit requests shall be subject to approval by the department director or designee. Requests for permits should be submitted at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the event, along with the required list of adjacent properties showing the required 2/3 majority approval of the event. Contact the Public Works Department to secure street barriers.

To apply, print out and complete the application form (also available at the Police Station) and mail or deliver to:

After police department approval has been approved, permit fees may be paid at the Finance Cashier's Office, Room 101 in City Hall (1315 Valley Drive), Monday - Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
