🚧 Construction Notice:

Dear Residents,

Layne, a contractor for the Los Angeles County Public Works Department, will be conducting an injection well rehabilitation project along the Hermosa Beach Greenbelt at 21st Street. Construction will begin Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, through Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 8am - 6pm. This work is part of their prevention plan to stop saltwater intrusion in our drinking water.

 What to expect:

✔️Intermittent lane closures on Valley Dr. (only when placing and removing equipment).
✔️Traffic control flaggers in place to ensure a safe flow of traffic (only when placing and removing equipment.
✔️ Local access will be maintained for residents.
✔️ Temporary restrictions may occur during work hours.
✔️ Greenbelt access will remain accessible. Pedestrians will be able to walk on the walk path without any issues.
✔️ Construction vehicles, equipment and personnel present throughout work area.
✔️ Intermittent construction noise during the construction hours.
