🚧 Construction Notice:
Dear Residents,
SE Pipeline, a contractor for SoCalGas, will be conducting a mainline replacement and maintenance project along 8th Street across Valley Drive and Ardmore Avenue. Construction will begin Monday, May 18, 2026 through Friday, June 19, 2026 from 9am - 3:30pm. This work is part of their system-wide plan to further enhance the safety of their pipelines throughout our community.
What to expect:
✔️Work hours will be Monday-Fridays 9am - 3:30pm.
✔️Temporary parking and travel lane closures on 8th Street, Valley Drive and Ardmore Avenue.
✔️ Local access will be maintained for residents.
✔️ Temporary sidewalk restrictions may occur during work hours.
✔️ Greenbelt access will remain accessible. Pedestrians will be able to walk on the walk path without any issues.
✔️ Construction vehicles and personnel present throughout work area.
✔️ Intermittent loud construction noise especially during demolition.
✔️ The odor of natural gas during construction activity.
At times, you may smell the odor of natural gas and hear a loud, steady noise as the contractor vents natural gas from the pipeline using safe and common techniques. Although this is normal when crews are working, we encourage anyone who has concerns about the smell of gas to call SoCalGas from a safe location at 1-800-427-2200.
