Starting Monday April 20th, The Kelly Courts will be open for public use. The basketball courts will be open each day for dop-in use from 9:00am-9:00pm. All courts have been fully renovated and are ready for play, providing a safe and improved experience for the community. For more information, please visit City’s website.

City Manager's Report

FY 2026-27 Budget Kick-Off

Beginning at 5:00 pm before the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting on April 28, staff will present a high-level overview of the next fiscal year budget. This will be followed by a detailed budget presentation by each City department on May 12 at 6:00 pm, with a review of the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) taking place on May 28 at 6:00 pm. Each meeting will take place in City Council Chambers at City Hall and all are invited and encouraged to attend and participate. Please join us!

Parking Lot C Full Reopening

Parking Lot C is now fully open to the public for parking. All levels of the parking structure are open, and both the stairs and elevator will be fully accessible. The contractor will continue working on minor items, but these will not impact public parking. Visitors can expect normal parking operations to resume without restrictions.

14th Street Restrooms

The 14th Street restrooms renovation is officially done and fully open to the public, thanks to the outstanding work of Public Works. This project reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high-quality public amenities and investing in infrastructure that meets the needs of residents and visitors. Routine maintenance will continue to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition moving forward.

Surfers Walk of Fame Weekend: Kickoff Party

Location: Community Center - Community Theatre

About this event: The Surfers Walk of Fame Kickoff Party provides the opportunity to meet past and present inductees, presentation of a surf film and the South Bay Surf Awards by the South Bay Boardriders Club at the Community Theatre. Surfers Walk of Fame Weekend: Surfers Walk of Fame and Spyder Surf Fest
