Clark Field Basketball Hoops
The City removed the hoops on the west side of Clark Field to address some safety issues but the good news is that after receiving direction from the Parks and Recreation Commission, your City staff has come up with a plan in consultation with several parents and representatives from HBYB to replace them, with increased shoot-around opportunities for our younger players who use lower baskets. One 9’ hoop has already been replaced, and final approval for another 9’ hoop and an 8’ hoop is scheduled to appear on the March 24 Council agenda. The City is also grateful to HBYB for their donation of the premium backboards that will replace the old ones as part of the Kelly Courts refurbishment project.
Greenwich Village Undergrounding Project
After several years of delays due to COVID and other unforeseen factors, this utility undergrounding project in Hermosa’s north end had a groundbreaking ceremony last week which was celebrated by Council and area residents who helped form the undergrounding district.
