Dear Residents,
🚧Construction Notice Project Update: Starting Monday 12/15/2025, through Friday 3/20/2026 from 9:00AM to 3:00PM, Blois Construction LLC., a contractor for Los Angeles County Sanitation District (LACSD), will be working on Monterey Blvd, between Herondo Street and 2nd Street, replacing an underground sewer forcemain pipeline. They are continuing their work from the Herondo phase to the Monterey phase.
Work includes excavation, installing pipe, backfill and restoration. We will be posting Temporary No Parking signs in advance for any areas impacted. Please be advised, the schedule is subject to change due to any inclement weather or unforeseen conditions during the construction process.
What to Expect:
✔️The SOUTH BOUND travel lane on Monterey Blvd (in the work zone area) will be CLOSED off during the work hours with only NORTH BOUND travel allowed.
✔️Temporary parking lane closures along Monterey Blvd.
✔️Hermosa Beach work hours to be 9AM - 3PM on Monterey Blvd.
✔️Local access will be maintained for residents.
✔️Temporary sidewalk and/or alley access restrictions may occur during work hours.
✔️Construction vehicles and personnel present throughout work area.
✔️ Intermittent loud construction noise especially during demolition.
The project will be completed in multiple phases. The Contractor is to coordinate with residents to maintain traffic safety and access to homes and driveways as best as possible during construction activity. For questions and concerns, please reach out to LACSD Construction Coordinators:
