PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following:
- A REQUEST FOR A CUP AMENDMENT (APE25-002) TO EXPAND AN ON-SALE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ESTABLIHEMENT TO ALLOW THE CONSUMPTION OF BEER AND WINE ONLY ON THE EXISTING OUTDOOR PATIO OF AN EXISTING HOTEL (HOTEL HERMOSA) LOCATEDAT 2515 PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY IN THE (C-3) ZONE.THE PROPOSED HOURS OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SERVICE ON THE PATIO ARE FROM8:00AM TO 9:00PM SUNDATY THROUGH THURSDAY AND8:00 AM TO 10:00 PM ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS. THE PROJECT QUALIFIES FOR A CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION PER SECTION 15301 OF THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT GUIDELINES.
- A REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP23-02) TO ALLOW FOR OUTDOOR DINING, OUTDOOR AMPLIFIED LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, AND THE ON-SALE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES (BEER, WINE, & DISTILLED SPIRITS), ON THE EXISTING OUTDOOR PATIO OF AN EXISTING HOTEL AND RESTAURANT (SEA SPRITE) LOCATED AT 1016 THE STRAND IN THE (C-1) ZONE. THE PROPOSED HOURS OF OUTDOOR DINING AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SERVICE ON THE PATIO ARE FROM 8:00AM TO 10:00PM DAILY. THE PROPOSED HOURS OF OUTDOOR AMPLIFIED LIVE ENTERTAINMENT ARE FROM 12:00 PM TO 6:00 PM MONDAY- THURSDAY AND FROM 9:00 AM TO 8:00PM FRIDAY-SUNDAY. THE PROJECT QUALIFIES FOR A CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION PER SECTION 15301 OF THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT GUIDELINES.
SAID PUBLIC MEETING is open to the public and being held in-person in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, California 90254.
