Notice is hereby given that the City of Hermosa Beach will receive electronic bids until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at which time the electronic bids will be publicly opened at the City Council Chambers at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 and posted on Planet Bids for CIP No. 633 Base 3 Electrical Upgrades.
The project includes providing all necessary labor, materials and equipment to modernize and upgrade of the Base 3 ( located at 1035 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach , CA 90254) building’s electrical system, including removal of existing meter socket and overhead, removal of existing electrical service panel and replacing it with a new 120/240V, 3W, 400A main service board, installation of 4” galvanized rigid conduit and weather head per SCE requirements, removal of the existing load center, removal and replacement of an existing panel, install new receptacles, extend existing conduits to new receptacles, install conductors, remove and replace exit signs, remove existing light fixtures and install new ones, remove flex conduit and replace with EMT pipework, ring- out all existing circuits, identify on panel schedule and reconnect as required, ring-out existing switch box, intercept circuit and extend to allow 3way switching, coordination with SCE for inspection and final connection, and other items of work necessary to complete the work per plans and specifications.
The engineer’s cost estimate for the project is $70,000. License requirement is a valid State of California Contractors License Class “C10”.
The duration of the project is 45 working days. All bids must be submitted electronically on Planet Bids Portal, accessible through the City’s webpage at https://www.hermosabeach.gov/our-government/city-clerk/bids-and-proposals where you must first register as a vendor through our Planet Bids Portal. Contract Documents, plans, and specifications will be available for review on Planet Bids. All relevant materials shall be obtained from the link above.
