PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold an in-person public hearing on February 25, 2025, at 6:00 pm in City Hall Council Chambers located at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, California 90254 to consider the following:
The Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program is a Senate Bill 2 funded program that provides a source of funding for cities and counties through State Property Transfer Fees to increase affordable housing stock in California. Cities that are partners of the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) through the Urban County Cooperation Agreement will be able to access the allocations for the PLHA Program.
The City of Hermosa Beach expects to receive approximately $36,253 in PLHA funds. PLHA funds may be used for various activities, housing-related projects, and programs that assist in addressing the unmet housing needs of the local communities in California. The proposed PLHA programs to be funded include:
- South Bay Regional Housing Trust $ 36,253
In the event the Regional Housing Trust is unable to receive the funds, the PLHA funds would be allocated to:
- Rapid Rehousing $ 10,000
- Case Management Services for Unhoused $ 26,253
SAID PUBLIC MEETING is open to the public and being held in-person in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, California 90254.

Any member of the public is welcome to send the Community Development Department written comments in advance of the hearing at planning@hermosabeach.gov or provide public comment during the hearing.
