NOTICE OF ADOPTION AND SUMMARY OF
ORDINANCE NO. ORD-24-1482
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE HERMOSA BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO UPDATE THE TITLE AND ROLE OF CERTAIN CITY PERSONNEL AND DETERMINING THE ORDINANCE IS NOT A PROJECT UNDER THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (“CEQA”)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 22, 2024, the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) adopted Ordinance No. ORD-24-1482.
Ordinance No. ORD-24-1482 amends various sections of the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code to update the titles and responsibilities of certain City personnel. Specifically, the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Finance are being allocated to the Administrative Services Director. Thus all code references to the Director of Finance are being amended to state Administrative Services Director. Ordinance No. ORD 24-1482 is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act.
Ordinance No. ORD-24-1482 was introduced for first reading at a regular meeting held on September 24, 2024, and adopted on October 22, 2024, by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Detoy, Jackson, Massey, Mayor Pro Tem Saemann, and Mayor Francois; NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None.
This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption pursuant to California Government Code section 36937. The above is simply a summary of the Ordinance.
