NOTICE AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 23-1472

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 28, 2023 the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) will consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 23-1472

Ordinance No. 23-1472 adds Chapter 12.09 to the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code providing for a moratorium on excavations in newly constructed or maintained roadways in the City, amends section 1.10..040 of the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code and finds the same exempt form the California Environmental Quality Act. The ordinance prescribes different time periods for the moratoria on City roadways (with exceptions), depending on the what work was down to the roadway. Further the ordinance makes violations of Chapter 12.09, among other things, subject to the City’s administrative citation process.

Ordinance No. 23-1472 was introduced for first reading by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach at its regular meeting held on November 14, 2023.
