NOTICE AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 23-1471
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 14, 2023 the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) will consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 23-1471.
The Ordinance amends the City’s Zoning Code to effectuate the changes and programs that are a part of the City’s 2021-2029 Housing Element. Among other things, Ordinance No. 23-1471 creates a new Housing Element Sites Inventory Overlay Zone, a new R2-A Medium Density Residential Zone, a new Public Facility Zone and updates the standards for the M-1 Light Manufacturing Zone. Further, the Ordinance updates and streamlines certain entitlement process consistent with the City’s 2021-2029 Housing Element and to bring it up to date with certain State laws. The City found, via an Addendum to the PLAN Hermosa Final EIR, that pursuant to section 15162 of the CEQA Guidelines that there are no significant effects not previously discussed in the PLAN Hermosa Final EIR.
Ordinance No. 23-1471 was introduced for first reading by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach at its regular meeting held on October 24, 2023.
