NOTICE AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 23-1470 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 14, 2023 the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) will consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 23-1470. 

The Ordinance amends the zoning map and Title 17 of the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code to effectuate programs in the 2021-2029 Housing Element. As part of the 2021-2029 Housing Element cycle, the City is required to identify sites within the city as capable of developing housing. In an effort to realize the housing capacity on these sites, the zoning map is amended to align with the General Plan. Title 17 of the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code is amended to provide the development standards for such development as well as bring Title 17 up to date with State law.  

Ordinance No. 23-1470 was introduced for first reading by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach at its regular meeting held on October 24, 2023.
