NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a hybrid public hearing on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following:

2023-2024 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM

The public is invited to hear the City of Hermosa Beach’s proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, which identifies the projected use of funds for the Program Year July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, for submission to the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) as the pass-through agency for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 

Estimated CDBG Program Year 2023-2024 Funding Allocation:  $147,148 

Proposed Project: Installation of Americans with Disabilities Act-Compliant (ADA) Sidewalk and Curb Ramp Construction Project 

This project will provide unobstructed paths of travel for elderly and severely disabled adults through the removal of architectural and material barriers and obstructions such as broken and uplifted sidewalk panels, trip hazards, deteriorated and narrow sidewalk panels, and noncompliant curb access ramps.  Necessary ADA-compliant curb access ramps will also be installed to be compatible with the sidewalk improvements to remove architectural and/or material barriers to provide a clear path of travel for elderly and/or severely disabled adults. This project will use the City’s proposed CDBG Program Year 2023-2024 allocation estimated at $147,148.
