PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a hybrid public hearing on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 to discuss the following:

  1. CONVEX SLOPE DETERMINATION REQUEST (CSD23-02) TO UTILIZE ALTERNATE SPOT ELEVATIONS RATHER THAN PROPERTY CORNER ELEVATIONS ALONG THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE FOR THE PURPOSES OF DETERMINING BUILDING HEIGHT AT 712 MARLITA PLACE AND FIND THAT THE DETERMINATION IS NOT A PROJECT AND IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA).

VIEWING OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC MEETINGS:  Public meetings are broadcast live on Spectrum Channel 8 and Frontier Channel 31 in Hermosa Beach. Additionally, this meeting will be broadcast via ZOOM, YOUTUBE and the City’s website as provided below. The City is providing these additional viewing options as a courtesy only. The City does not guarantee that one or all of these viewing options will be operational for whatever reason. Further, be advised that that technical issues may make one or all of these viewing options unavailable.

Public participation is only provided via a written comment or by in-person attendance at City Hall. No public comment will be taken via ZOOM or telephone unless mandated by law.

For inclusion in the agenda packet, written comments of interested parties should be mailed to the Community Development Department, Planning Division, in care of City Hall at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 or emailed to CommunityDevelopment@hermosabeach.gov by noon on October 10, 2023.

IF YOU CHALLENGE the above matter(s) in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department, Planning Division, at, or prior to, the public hearing. A copy of the agenda and staff reports will be available for public review at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting on the City’s website at www.hermosabeach.gov.
