NOTICE OF ADOPTION AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 23-1465
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE TITLE 32, FIRE CODE, OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY CODE, INCORPORATING THE CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE, 2022 EDITION, WITH CERTAIN CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS; MAKING AMENDMENTS TO SAID CODES; AMENDING TITLE 15 OF THE HERMOSA BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE; AND FINDING THE ACTION EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 11, 2023, the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) adopted Ordinance No. 23-1465 by reference the Los Angeles County Fire Code (Title 32 of the Los Angeles County Code) with certain changes and amendments and finding the action exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act
Ordinance No. 23-1465 proposes to adopt by reference the Los Angeles County Fire Code (Title 32 of the Los Angeles County Code) with certain changes and amendments and finding the action exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act. Pursuant to sections 17958.7 and 18941.5 of the Health and Safety Code, the City has proposed local amendments reasonably necessary because of local climatic, geological or topographical conditions. Violations of the proposed Fire Code are dependent on that scope and nature of the violation.
Ordinance No. 23-1465 was introduced on June 13, 2023 by the City Council by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Detoy, Saemann, Francois, Mayor Pro Tem Massey and Mayor Jackson; NOES: None; ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None.
