NOTICE AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 23-1462
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 11, 2023 the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) will consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 23-1462.
Ordinance No. 23-1462 proposes to amend Chapter 17.21 of the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code regarding Accessory Dwelling Units (“ADUs”) and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units (“JADUs”) in the City and finding the action exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act. This ordinance corrects language regarding the measuring of building height as is pertains to ADUs and JADUs, increases the height limit to coincide with the underlying height limit of the applicable zone, adds clarifying language requested by the California Department of Housing and Community Development and removes the restriction on roof decks on ADUs and JADUs.
Ordinance No. 23-1462 was introduced for first reading by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach at its regular meeting held on June 13, 2023.
