NOTICE AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 23-1461
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA INCREASING PARKING METER RATES AND FINDING THE SAME EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT.
Notice is hereby given that on May 9, 2023, the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach (“City”) will consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 23-1461.
Ordinance No. 23-1461 proposes to change the parking meter rates for the parking meters in the City and finding the same exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act. Pursuant to Vehicle Code § 22508, any change to parking meter rates must be done via ordinance. Parking meter rates are proposed to be raised to $2.00 per hour and between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. daily, parking meter rates are proposed to be set at $2.50 per hour. Further, the hours of operation for parking meters shall commence at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 a.m. daily.
Ordinance No. 23-1461 was introduced for first reading by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach at its regular meeting held on March 28, 2023.
